You and three mates will start in Praia before hiking the Calabaceira Valley. This volcanic valley is filled with rich mangos, guavas, cashews and sugar cane, not to mention giant baobab trees towering overhead. Cross a trail used by Charles Darwin and visit Cidade Velha, a UNESCO World Heritage Site overlooking the wild Atlantic Ocean.
Your next adventure will see you exploring Fogo Island’s lava rock terraces supporting banana, orange and coffee plantations. After delicious local cuisine, you’ll be summiting Cape Verde’s highest point, Pico de Fogo, with sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and neighbouring islands.
No adventure to Cape Verde is complete without wild swimming in Cuba Pool, a natural pool sculpted by lava from previous eruptions of Ribeira das Pratas.
