Then venture out to explore the city centre and all the big cultural offerings just minutes away. Fancy a bit of shopping? Hop in to the complimentary shuttle bus to the countless shops and restaurants of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or head out to the nearby Table Mountain to get your hike on. Unwind after a long day of exploring with a local dish paired with a glass South African wine at your seaside hotel Restaurant, sip a cocktail next to the heated infinity pool, or feel your tension melt away at the onsite Armani Spa.

You’ll spend the remaining 3 nights of your stay at the ultra-luxe 5-star Grootbos Nature Reserve a few hours outside of Cape Town. Feel connected to the vivid landscapes stunning surrounding nature while taking in breathtaking views in your very own freestanding villa equipped with its own private deck, fireplace and outdoor shower. Start each day with a hearty and delicious breakfast made from locally sourced ingredients by the onsite executive chef before heading out on the day’s adventure. Refuel with a tantalising 3-course lunch made from the freshest organic ingredients and end your days of exploration with a 5-course dinner unlike any other.

You can’t exactly go all the way to South Africa without sampling a glass (or 6) of the world renowned South African wine. So we’re sending you on, not one, but three wine tastings on the most prestigious and award-winning South African wine farms of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. You’ll experience stunning scenery, learn about different grape varieties and taste (most importantly) the regions delicacies, all accompanied by a cheese assortment and cellar tour, an exciting ride on the Franschhoek tram, and a visit to the Drankenstein Prison where Nelson Mandela spent the last part of his captivity.

Venture back down to the Cape Town coast where you’ll get the opportunity to ride a wave or two on a private surfing lesson – perfect to kick-start your pro surfing career (step aside Kelly).

After you arrive at the Grootbos Nature Reserve for the 2nd leg of your trip, you’ll get the chance to head off on a land-based whale watching excursion where you’ll spot Southern Right Whales as close as 30 metres from you, hop aboard a luxury catamaran for an exhilarating experience spotting sharks, penguins, dolphins, seals, and even more whales, and discover the many intricacies of fynbos on a 4x4 tour led by passionate guides. For the adrenaline junkies out there, you’ll also get the chance to get up close and personal with Great White Sharks as you go cage diving. Top it all off with an awe-inspiring walk through the forest where you’ll spot colourful birds and picture-perfect flowers for a few final shots for the gram.
