A Silk Road adventure

Calling all intrepid travellers! Are you ready to explore the vibrant history of the ancient Silk Road? A route traders for centuries journeyed along, weaving westwards from China to Iran and Turkey, sharing their wares, stories and cultures. Today, four cities in Uzbekistan—Samarkand, Tashkent, Bukhara, and Khiva - are getting serious attention, in part from renewed interest in this historic route. What were once long, arduous journeys on camel-back, have been made way easier with a new Afrosiyob high-speed trains, linking Tashkent, the country’s capital, to Samarkand and Bukhara. 

Visit Samarkand with it's minarets and turquoise-blue tiling, Bukhara, the site of fascinating mosques and age-old rug-making traditions, the medieval town of Khiva and the capital Tashkent where heritage is combined with a trendier vibe.
